Send PDFs for simple electronic signature without a subscription, with RFC 3161 timestamps, audit certificates, public verification pages and an API.

Pay-per-document e-signatures from Hamburg, with a DigiCert timestamp, an audit certificate and a public verification page on every signed PDF.

CanUSign sells electronic signatures by the document instead of by the month. You upload a PDF, place the signature fields, share a link and download the signed file once everyone is done. Signers need no account and no app, and sign in any browser.

Every signed PDF carries an RFC 3161 timestamp from DigiCert, an electronic seal that makes later edits visible, and an audit certificate listing the document ID, a QR code, the time of each signature, IP and device details and a hash of the stored copy. A public verification page lets anyone check a PDF against that copy without the file leaving their browser.

CanUSign is operated by Devin Lemcke Capital UG (haftungsbeschränkt), registered in Hamburg, Germany. Its functions, database and files run in Frankfurt am Main, but on US-owned infrastructure: Vercel for hosting and file storage, Neon for the database and Google Cloud for PDF generation and AI features. Email goes through Resend and payments through Stripe, both US providers, with transfers covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

It issues simple electronic signatures under eIDAS, fine wherever the law does not demand a handwritten one. A qualified signature is announced but not yet available. Each new account gets one free document to try it.
