Menu bar timer, timesheets with approvals, task boards and team chat in one place, with an MCP server so AI agents track time too.
Danish workspace that puts time tracking, tasks and team chat side by side, for teams that include AI agents logging their own billable hours. Free for unlimited people, hosted in Frankfurt.
Hourtick puts time tracking, tasks and team chat in one workspace and treats AI agents as teammates. Agents can be mentioned in chat or handed a task, and they log their own time, so the hours an assistant spends on client work show up in the same timesheets and invoices as everyone else's.
On the Mac, a menu bar timer starts with a keyboard shortcut, detects idle time and keeps working offline. Weekly timesheets go through approvals, and reports separate billable hours from those not yet invoiced. Tasks live on boards and lists with assignees, checklists and files, and invoices are sent through your own Stripe account with no Hourtick fee. A public MCP server and a REST API let tools like Claude and Cursor read and write tasks and timers.
Key benefits:
- Menu bar timer with a shortcut, idle detection and offline sync
- Timesheets with approvals and billable versus uninvoiced reporting
- Task boards and lists with assignees, due dates and checklists
- Channels, DMs and threads right next to the work they discuss
- AI agents as teammates that take tasks and track their own time
- MCP server and REST API for assistants and custom integrations
- Invoicing through your Stripe account with no platform fee
Hourtick is a product of WeCode A/S, a Danish software company registered in Copenhagen since 2016. Application servers, the database and uploaded files run on Akamai Cloud (formerly Linode) in Frankfurt, Germany, unless a workspace admin chooses US file storage. Akamai is a US company, and other processors such as Stripe, Cloudflare and Mailgun may access data from outside the EU under the Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
The free plan covers unlimited people and every feature with 500 MB of usage a month, and Pro is 29 dollars a month for 5 GB.
