Bielik Chat is the public chat interface for Bielik, a Polish open-source large language model developed by the SpeakLeash (Spichlerz) foundation, a community-driven initiative building a 1TB+ Polish-language dataset and generative AI models optimised for the Polish language.
Named after the Polish white-tailed eagle (bielik), the project is one of Europe's flagship efforts in sovereign AI. It is a locally-trained, Polish-optimised alternative to ChatGPT and Gemini that understands Polish grammar, idiom, and cultural context far better than general-purpose models fine-tuned primarily on English.
