About Taiga
Taiga is a Spanish open source agile project management platform built by Kaleidos in Madrid. It gives cross-functional teams real Scrum and Kanban tooling: sprint backlogs, story points, burndown charts, and WIP-limited boards, all in an interface that stays approachable for non-technical members.
Each project can enable exactly the modules it needs: Kanban board, Scrum backlog and sprints, issue tracking, a wiki, and epics that group work across projects. Estimation, custom fields, and rich permissions adapt the tool to real team processes, and an API plus importers from Trello, Jira, and GitHub ease the move in.

Why choose Taiga over Basecamp?
The decisive argument is data jurisdiction. Basecamp is headquartered in US, which means personal data processed through it can be subject to non-EU legal regimes: the US CLOUD Act, FISA 702, or similar laws depending on the provider. After the 2020 Schrems II ruling, EU organisations must carry out a transfer impact assessment for every such data flow.
Taiga removes that overhead. As a Spain-based provider, it operates natively under GDPR, and data stays inside the EU/EEA by default.
