Vimeo is still the host people choose for a clean, ad-free player with real privacy controls, and years of embeds across the web make leaving painful. A free plan allows two uploads a month, with paid plans from 12 dollars a month billed annually. Vimeo is headquartered in IT, which means personal data processed through it can be subject to non-EU legal regimes: the US CLOUD Act, FISA 702, or similar laws depending on the provider.
