About Learnster
Learnster is a next-generation learning management system (LMS) designed for growing organisations to deliver employee onboarding, compliance training, partner education and customer enablement at scale. Founded in Stockholm in 2017, it replaces legacy LMS suites with an automation-first, modern UI built for non-L&D owners.
The platform pairs a drag-and-drop course builder with an Automation Engine that triggers enrolments, reminders and certifications from HR events, CRM signals or user behaviour. SCORM, xAPI and native video content run alongside live sessions, quizzes and branching assessments, all tracked through a customisable analytics suite.
Key benefits:
- Automation Engine enrolling learners based on HR, CRM or user-behaviour triggers
- Drag-and-drop course builder supporting video, SCORM, xAPI, quizzes and branching
- Knowledge Gap Engine that continuously assigns the right content per role
- Certificates and compliance tracking with expirations, reminders and audit trails
- Native integrations with Workday, BambooHR, HubSpot, Salesforce and SSO providers
- Customisable portals for internal, partner and customer academies on one licence
- Open REST API and webhooks for data warehouses and custom apps
Learnster is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and hosts all learner data in EU-based data centres under GDPR and Swedish data-protection law. ISO 27001, a full DPA and SCCs for any sub-processor are standard on every plan.
Trusted by Epiroc, Caverion, Storytel and 200+ European organisations, Learnster is the reference choice for L&D teams that want a modern, automation-first LMS on sovereign EU infrastructure.
Why choose Learnster over TalentLMS?
The decisive argument is data jurisdiction. TalentLMS is headquartered in US, which means personal data processed through it can be subject to non-EU legal regimes — the US CLOUD Act, FISA 702, or similar laws depending on the provider. After the 2020 Schrems II ruling, EU organisations must carry out a transfer impact assessment for every such data flow.
Learnster removes that overhead. As a Sweden-based provider, it operates natively under GDPR, and data stays inside the EU/EEA by default. For regulated sectors — health, public administration, finance — that's not a nice-to-have but a requirement. For everyone else, it's concentration-risk insurance: you avoid depending on a single non-EU jurisdiction that can change the rules without warning.
